What Physicians Have To Say

Peter Curcione, DO
I am writing you this note to say thank you for selling me the MD Logic World Wide EMR. My office and I have come from the world of paper charts, costly dictating and uncertain coding to digital charts, real time creation of notes in the exam room and proper reimbursement for services rendered. Before we implemented MD Logic the inefficiencies in my practice were becoming a burden. I was encouraged during training, because the staff caught on quickly and I experienced a rather short learning curve. We began scanning the old records of the patients who were scheduled to arrive for appointments the following week. This allowed us to become "Paperless" during our training, and the staff found this process simplified by MD Logic."
Since implementing the MD Logic World Wide EMR we are experiencing the benefits that were promised to me. My notes are completed every day. No more staying late or coming in on weekends dictating. My staff can find charts without getting up and roaming the office. I can access my patient’s charts from anywhere. I am confident that I am receiving proper reimbursement for services rendered. My referral letters are completed and faxed instantly to the referring physicians. This helps me stay in touch with physicians who are more willing to send additional patients to me, because of my prompt letters.
It has been one year since we started with MD Logic and I can say that I am very pleased with my decision to choose the MD Logic World Wide EMR as “my” EMR. I had looked at others, but none could match the speed, flexibility, verbiage specific to Orthopedics and ease of use that MD Logic supplied, "Out of the box".
I fully recommend the MD Logic World Wide EMR to any physician looking to implement an EMR. I look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship for the future.

Rick Hammesfahr, MD
Our clinic implemented MD Logic in 2000. As an extremely busy Orthopaedic Clinic, it was essential to implement a system that could keep up with the high volume of our practice. We had tried other EMR systems before implementing the MD Logic World Wide EMR. The other EMR systems could not keep up with the pace of our busy clinic. Since implementing the MD Logic EMR, the system has proven invaluable as the cornerstone for treating and documenting patient care. The workflow of our entire clinic is automated with the MD Logic Command Center. With the touch of the screen I know what patient is next to be seen, what exam room they are located and everything about their medical history. Ordering x-rays is done with the touch of a button.
To further streamline our Orthopaedic clinic the medical assistants are trained to touch the screen while the physician spends 100% of their time providing patient care. As I complete the exam I simply state my findings and the information is documented real time in the exam room. This saves time and ensures accurate documentation throughout the patient visit. Once the visit it completed, all the documentation is available along with prescriptions for medications and physical therapy. Our next step is to implement the MD Logic Patient Kiosk and further streamline our clinic.
In a world where clinical documentation is critical, MD Logic has provided our clinic with the technology and support essential for keeping up with our busy Orthopaedic clinic. The only thing I regret about MD Logic in not having it in place the day we opened the Center for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. The support and service offered by MD Logic are excellent. We would recommend MD Logic to any health care provider looking to implement a fast and efficient EMR.

Greater Michigan Spine & Neurologic Institute
I was introduced to the MD Logic World Wide EMR™ at a Neurosurgical Academy show held in New Orleans in October 2006. In just a few minutes after completing my hands-on demonstration, I knew I had found the right EMR. The system was fast, accurate and would allow me to document care "real time" in the exam room. It was obvious MD Logic had the experience and solutions to streamline my Neurosurgical clinic.
During my tour as Military Neurosurgeon, I used the Federal Governments mandated EMR. It was slow and cumbersome. I had the option of using an existing chart management system that forced doctors to continue dictating. I would not settle for anything less than the latest technology to provide the best possible care for my patients. With the MD Logic World Wide EMR™, I received the best of both worlds. Our office is paperless and we document patient care "real time" in the exam rooms. The decision to implement the MD Logic World Wide EMR™ was a great decision for my clinic. If you are looking for a solution that will save you time, I would recommend MD Logic without hesitation.

Pensacola Ear, Nose and Throat
As a former physician in the US military, I used the governments EMR while in the service. The governments EMR was not designed to be flexible or very efficient. When I decided to move into private practice, I knew I wanted to implement a very efficient EMR that could keep up with the fast pace of an Ear, Nose and Throat practice. After seeing the MD Logic demonstration, I immediately knew I had found a fast, efficient and flexible EMR. My clinic documents patient care "real time" in the exam room and utilizes the MD Logic World Wide EMR™ as a paperless practice. The service and support has been great and we are looking forward to future software enhancements. Investing in MD Logic was a great decision for our practice.

Urology
I am proud to say that I have been using MD Logic for over 15 years. My clinic has touch screens in all the exam rooms to enable my staff and I the ability to immediately document care as we see patients. Having MD Logic in the exam room is as much a part of my practice as using my Cystoscope for patient surgeries. After more than a decade of using MD Logic, I simply can’t image another way of treating patients. My patients are always amazed at the efficiency in how we use technology in my practice.
While other physician are still considering what EMR to implement, I feel great knowing that my practice is way ahead of the market in already implementing what I feel the is worlds best EMR. If you are a physician thinking of implementing an EMR, take the time to complete a hands-on demonstration and you will find out what I did more than a decade ago.

Pasco, Hernando Oncology Associates
As a busy four-man Oncology clinic, it is essential we accurately document care for our patients. Before being introduced to MD Logic, we followed the same cumbersome solution used by many physicians – "dictation". As our clinic grew, having immediate access to patient records along with the ability to immediately document care became essential.
In 1997, we implemented MD Logic. We made the decision to install touch screens in the exam rooms. Looking back, I feel we were probably the first Oncology clinic to country to start documenting care "real time" in the exam room. This was made possible due to the large "easy to touch" buttons that make up the MD Logic system. The nurses are trained to work up the patient visit on the touch screen before the doctor enters the exam room. The doctor simply reviews the updated information on the touch screen. Once the exam is completed, the doctor touches in their exam, diagnosis and treatment plan into the MD Logic World Wide EMR™. The most up to date clinical information is immediately available for both doctors and staff.
When I need to review previous labs, radiology reports or anything regarding my patients, it’s simply just a touch away. MD Logic has become a critical asset to our practice. I could not see practicing medicine without it.

Conway Podiatry Center, PC
I have been using MD Logic for just 3 months now and I am happy to say I love it. First of all, training was well done (3 days onsite). They worked with each staff member on their individual roles. On day 4 we were flying solo and and were 100% implemented. MD Logic was easy for the staff to get excited about. The learning curve was short.
It is a touchscreen system. You do not have to navigate drop down boxes with a mouse or stylus pen. Just need your finger and this makes charting fly. I previously dictated with Dragon Dictate and printed for paper chart. The 3 main selling points for me were: 1. Fastest system I have seen with easiest interface 2. Documentation is robust and they have a podiatry specific knowledgebase for my specialty (you can customize to your liking if you choose) 3. My staff (mostly older ladies with limited computer skills) loved it after a live demo. My advice to anyone looking at EMR is to take into consideration the way it will impact your staff. You may love it but if it terrifies your people there will be problems. Also, customer/technical support has been very good (and seldom needed).
I have no financial relationship with the company. I am just a very happy guy with a whole lot of extra time on my hands these days. No more mountains of charts.

Sarasota Foot Care Center, PA
I was first introduced to MD Logic in early 1996 by Tim McKenna, Vice President of Sales of MD Logic. At the time the EMR industry was in its infancy. There was no government mandate or incentive for me to purchase MD Logic other than my own curiosity about electronic medical records and a strong desire to automate and streamline the documentation process in an effort to improve the quality of my notes, increase work flow efficiency in the office and ultimately improve the quality of my life as I was often spending hours after work on dictation.
After researching other documentation input devices, I found that most if not all of these systems were built on either a bar code scanner or drop down menu platform, which seemed to me to be extremely tedious and difficult to use in the exam room while examining patients. One of the many features that set MD Logic Apart was their “screen” and “button” interface. This seemed a much more intuitive way of building a clinical note and a relatively simple task to perform while face-to-face with the patient.
At the same time my solo practice has grown to a four physician group with a staff of 17 employees, all of whom use MD Logic on a daily basis. Notes are completed, referral letters are faxed and charge tickets are generated before the patient leaves the exam room. I was recently informed by a MD Logic representative that our clinic had successfully documented over one hundred and eighty-five thousand (185,000) patient visits since implementing MD Logic.
In 2006 we transitioned to the MD Logic World Wide EMR™ and we’ve been “paperless” ever since. We have work stations in every exam room, doctor’s private offices, nursing stations, check-in, check-out, billing and administration. We will soon be adding the MD Logic Patient Kiosk to the reception room which will permit patients to touch-in their personal information and past medical history and eliminate the need for the patient to hand write those medical history forms. This will further streamline our clinic and save time by eliminating the need for our medical assistants to re-enter the medical information currently captured on a form. The kiosk will automatically populate the clinical note with information touched in by the patient.
In a nut shell, today my notes are precise and thorough, my office is highly automated and extremely efficient and the quality of my life has been vastly enriched. MD Logic has been a partner in all of this along with a highly stable and intuitive software platform.

Chesapeake Foot & Ankle Center, PA
Our clinic made the decision to implement the MD Logic World Wide EMR™ in 2008. Since implementation, the MD Logic World Wide EMR™ has dramatically improved the efficiency of our patient documentation and workflow. With four physicians and two locations, having immediate access to patient records is critical.
As you know, we use the MD Logic technology to document care "real time" in the examination room. The medical assistants take down the History of Present Illness after which the doctors rattle off our exam findings; the assistant enters all the information while the patient is actually being examined. Once the exam is complete, the doctors are simply left to touch in the diagnosis and treatment plan. This is a huge time saver and allows me to spend my time with patients. As the patient leaves the exam room, their MRI request slip and Rx are simultaneously arriving at the dedicated printer at the discharge desk. An added and unexpected outcome of this system is the growth in knowledge and enthusiasm of our medical assistants. We love the system and appreciate all the ongoing developments and the support provided by your great team.
I would be happy to volunteer my time and be part of any future software development team meetings (as an end user) and provide new ideas to your development team. I would recommend MD Logic to any heath care provider without hesitation. It is truly a superior EMR.

WellStar – Marietta Family Medicine
MD Logic has been a part of my practice for the past ten years. As a primary care physician, I have the challenge of diagnosing a wide variety of patient complaints. In order to keep pace with my busy schedule, I needed an EMR solution that would not slow me down. I have touch screens in all my exam rooms and document patient care as I see my patients. Prior to implementing MD Logic, I used to hand write my patient visits in a chart. MD Logic provided the technology and the speed to automate my patient visits with accurate patient documentation. My staff can immediately access the patient records within MD Logic. My patients love the fact that their prescriptions are immediately available when they check out at the front desk.
I have spoken to other physicians who have tried other EMRs and failed. Choosing MD Logic was one of the best decisions I have made for my practice. If given the chance to do it all over again, I would choose MD Logic in a heartbeat.

Golden Isles Neurology, PC
We needed the world's fastest EMR to keep up with our busy practice. Within five minutes of the software demonstration, we knew we had finally found an EMR that was designed for speed and accuracy. My staff was simply amazed at the ease of implementing MD Logic. The front office staff mastered scanning documents into the MD Logic World Wide EMR within the first hour of training. Our clinic became paperless on the very first day.
Touch screens were set up in each exam room to allow "real time" documentation of patient care. This saves me a tremendous amount of time and creates great efficiency in our clinic. Patients just love the simplicity and speed in how we document care. Prescriptions are immediately generated for the patients before they leave the exam room. The referring physicians receive a detailed referral letter before the patients leave our clinic. Whether I am at the office, ER or my home, my patient’s records are immediately available. Looking back, it is hard to image my day without MD Logic.
