MD Logic is pleased to report the recent success of Sarasota Foot Care Center and their recent transition to a paperless office. The center is staffed by four physicians who are all Diplomats with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Each doctor was residency trained with the latest foot and ankle medical and surgical techniques. The doctors are committed to continuing medical education, allowing them to continue to provide their patients with the finest possible specialty service.
Paul G. Yungst, DPM, FACFAS is one of the founding partners at Sarasota Foot Care Center who helped do the research on choosing the best Electronic Medical Records (EMR) solution for their center. When asked about the recent transition to going paperless, Dr. Yungst stated, "We have been using MD Logic to document care real-time in the exam room for many years. When we decided to take the next step and go paperless we wanted a company with a proven solution and what we felt was the most stable software in the industry. After looking at many of the EMR systems on the market, we chose to implement the MD Logic World Wide EMR™. No one could match the speed and ease of use offered by the MD Logic World Wide EMR™."
When asked about the impact of going paperless, Dr. Yungst said "The impact of going paperless has been immediate and omnipresent. The moment a patient walks into the office, they are struck with a sense of organization, which hopefully gives them a feeling of security, a belief that the doctor and his staff truly know what they are doing. The patient is no longer confronted with the view of 150 charts spread out en mass over the front office cabinetry and floor and one or two office personnel frantically rummaging through searching for a missing chart."
"I have calculated that if it takes approximately 20 seconds to find/file a chart and we see approximately 150 patients per day (that's 300 charts that get pulled and re-filed during the course of a day), it takes approximately one hour and 40 minutes spent filing charts. And this doesn't include the extra time it takes going to the file room to track down missing charts or add on patients or filing lab test results, etc. Now it’s simply scan...sort...done!"
"Within the exam room, the ability to view charts and document care as we see patients is critical. I can immediately communicate with my staff by sending electronic memos and check my Inbox with the touch of a button. I can spend more time in patient contact now that I don't have to spend time searching through the chart. Patients continually comment on how the system looks 'state of the art,' and when I show them the output or how I can pull up a previous note or lab results, they are amazed. Patients understand that they are in an office which is on the 'cutting edge' of new technology in medicine."
Gone are these days: "Remember all the valuable time wasted going to the file room, searching for a file that was misplaced and eventually finding it lying under the doctor's desk, only to realize that all the while you were searching for the wrong chart, Larry Cohn instead of Larry Cohen, then having to go back to the file room to retrieve the correct file simply to chart a lab report? With MD Logic, it's as simple as scan...sort...done! Our center is extremely pleased with choosing the MD Logic World Wide EMR™."

After careful review of several top EMR systems available in heath care, Gainesville Eye Associates chose to implement the MD Logic World Wide EMR™.
Jack Chapman, MD, a partner in Gainesville Eye Associates stated "Our clinic has been using MD Logic to document care ‘real-time’ in the exam rooms for the past seven years. Having immediate access to my patient’s clinical records was essential. The MD Logic system has large easy to touch buttons that makes documenting care fast, efficient and accurate. I looked at many of those point-and-click mouse systems and realized there was just no way they could keep pace with our busy clinic. With MD Logic, you simply touch the screen for immediate access to the patient’s medical records."
"When we made the decision to start 2008 as a paperless Ophthalmology clinic, the MD Logic World Wide EMR™ was the wise choice for our clinic. Our clinic offers state of the art, cutting edge technology delivered in a compassionate and caring manner. We have grown to serve the greater Northeast Georgia and Western North Carolina areas. We have established satellite clinics in Cornelia, Clarkesville and Blairsville, Georgia as well as Hayesville, North Carolina."
"With the MD Logic World Wide EMR™, our doctors and staff enjoy real-time access to patient records from everywhere. It is a great feeling knowing when a patient walks out of our exam room, their visit has been documented and their medical record is complete. An added bonus is the ability to automatically fax the referral letter to the referring physician with my diagnosis and treatment plan. This is completed before the patient leaves our clinic."

"The primary focus of our practice is hip and knee arthritis. I have been involved in this area since the early days of arthroscopy and joint replacement. As our knowledge has grown over these years treatment options have greatly expanded. In our practice, we combine the latest techniques such as minimally invasive hip and knee replacement and computer navigation along with more traditional methods to provide the best orthopedic care possible."

July 2007
The Orthopaedic department at Methodist Hospital in Houston Texas has selected the MD Logic World Wide EMR™ for their EMR solution in taking the Orthopaedic department paperless. The Orthopaedic department at Methodist Hospital had originally implemented MD Logic as their solution to document patient care. Touch screens were installed in the exam rooms to enable both the doctors and their staff the ability to document care "real-time". This was the first step in taking the department paperless.
David Lintner, MD, Chief of Sports Medicine at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, recently saw the most current release of the MD Logic World Wide EMR™ at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons meeting in San Diego. After seeing the MD Logic World Wide EMR™, Dr. Lintner knew he wanted to take his department to the next level and go paperless. The biggest change had already been accomplished in being able to document care "real-time" in the exam room. Adding the ability to scan documents, electronically review reports and send messages to staff members would give their department immediate access to patient records 24 hours a day. "Being a premier Orthopaedic clinic, speed is essential in keeping up with our patient load. We choose MD Logic knowing it was the fastest EMR available in heath care."

MD Logic is pleased to announce the recent update to the MD Logic custom document feature. With MD Logic, doctors can treat patients, document care with MD Logic and automatically generate those typical forms required to be completed for patients such as: return to work forms, return to school forms, workers compensation forms, pre-op forms, etc. These documents are automatically generated by the MD Logic World Wide EMR™ and save both the doctor and staff time. Mr. George Hackett, MD Logic Regional Manager stated, "customers can completely eliminate the unnecessary step in having to complete those redundant forms by simply touching the MD Logic system. With this feature, there is no limitation of the types of documents/forms that can be generated for our customers".
Health care providers are being forced to complete more forms with each patient visit. MD Logic gives healthcare providers the technology to easily generate those typical forms that have been preprinted for handouts to patients. Our customers are able to save an hour or more each day by automating this process. Our technology eliminates the need for providers to handwrite forms or mark check off forms in ordering tests, communicating instructions or simply completing the most common forms used in the clinic. Forms generated by MD Logic are automatically stored in the MD Logic World Wide EMR™ for immediate access.

April 2007
Representatives for MD Logic were very busy during the months of April and May participating in multiple trade shows around the USA. Doctors who attended the American Academy of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Combined Otolaryngology Spring Meeting, American Academy of Neurological Surgeons, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics and the Bones Society Meeting were able receive a hands on demonstration of the MD Logic World Wide EMR™. Doctor and administrators who attended these shows were amazed at the speed, simplicity and accuracy of the MD Logic World Wide EMR™.
Bill Hurdle, MD Logic Regional Manager, stated, " everyone who takes the time to complete a hands-on demonstration says they can’t believe how simply we have made going paperless". Some doctors make the decision to sign up for MD Logic at the show while others invite MD Logic to their office to complete paperwork. I have never met a doctor who has not commented on the fact that MD Logic is "no doubt" the fastest solution for going paperless. As we continue to lead the industry in "real-time" documentation, other vendors encourage dictation because they simply don’t have a solution that can efficiently document patient care. When it comes to speed and accuracy, nothing can touch the MD Logic World Wide EMR™".
To schedule time for a hands-on demonstration, please contact our corporate office at 800.273.7750.
